Head of Legal OSF & Strategic Initiatives The Head of Legal will provide legal oversight and advisory support to Ojah Scholarship Foundation across its key initiatives, including OSF scholarships, Her Next Step, and METS — Minds in Emerging Technology & Science. This role will support the review, drafting, and improvement of contracts, partnership agreements, memorandums of understanding, volunteer and mentor agreements, scholar terms, sponsorship documents, privacy and data protection materials, safeguarding policies, and internal governance policies. The role will help ensure that OSF’s agreements and policies are clear, ethical, practical, and aligned with the organisation’s mission. This role is ideal for a legally trained professional who is thoughtful, discreet, reliable, and passionate about education, youth development, nonprofit governance, and social impact. The volunteer will gain meaningful experience supporting a growing organisation at leadership level, while helping OSF strengthen its governance, manage risk, protect its people and programs, and build trusted relationships with partners, scholars, mentors, volunteers, and sponsors. Success & Development Coach OSF & Strategic Initiatives The Success and Development Coach will support Ojah Scholarship Foundation across its key initiatives, including OSF scholarships, Her Next Step, and METS — Minds in Emerging Technology & Science. This role involves helping scholars, mentees, and emerging young professionals build confidence, direction, discipline, and practical life and career skills through goal-setting, coaching conversations, development workshops, group sessions, reflection activities, and accountability support. The coach will contribute to topics such as academic growth, career readiness, communication, personal branding, productivity, resilience, leadership, and navigating life and professional transitions. This role is ideal for someone empathetic, mature, reliable, and passionate about youth development, education, mentorship, and social impact. The volunteer will gain hands-on experience in coaching, mentoring, leadership development, nonprofit programming, and community-building, while directly supporting young people in Nigeria to make the most of the opportunities available to them. Head of Counselling OSF & HNS The Head of Counselling will provide wellbeing, counselling, and psychosocial support oversight across Ojah Scholarship Foundation’s key initiatives, including OSF scholarships, Her Next Step, and METS — Minds in Emerging Technology & Science. This role will help OSF develop a safe, ethical, and supportive approach to emotional wellbeing, resilience, safeguarding, confidentiality, and referral pathways. The role may include advising on participant wellbeing concerns, supporting group wellbeing sessions, developing mental health awareness resources, and helping volunteers and mentors understand the boundaries between mentorship, coaching, counselling, and crisis support. This role is ideal for a qualified or experienced counselling, psychology, mental health, social work, pastoral care, or youth support professional who is compassionate, discreet, culturally sensitive, and passionate about education, youth development, and social impact. The volunteer will bring meaningful leadership-level experience supporting a growing organisation, while helping OSF build a culture where scholars, mentees, and community members feel seen, safe, supported, and equipped to thrive beyond academic and career opportunities. Student Success Advisor OSF & HNS *(Four Positions Available for Immediate Start) The Student Success Advisor (SSA) will support a handful of OSF scholars and HNS mentees across their scholarship duration and their time in the Her Next Step mentorship program from entry to successful completion. This role involves providing encouragement, check-ins, accountability, and practical guidance to help the scholars/HNS mentees stay focused, build confidence, navigate university life, prepare for opportunities, and take meaningful steps toward their academic, personal, and career goals. The advisor may also support mentoring conversations, student engagement activities, reflection sessions, workshops, and community-building moments across OSF initiatives. This role is ideal for someone approachable, kind, reliable, and passionate about helping young people grow. The volunteer will gain hands-on experience in mentoring, student development, youth engagement, nonprofit programming, and community support, while making a direct difference in the lives of students and emerging professionals. Researcher METS & Strategic Initiatives The Researcher will support Ojah Scholarship Foundation across research, opportunity mapping, content development, and strategic insight, with a primary focus on our new community, METS — Minds in Emerging Technology & Science. This role involves identifying relevant scholarships, fellowships, grants, internships, STEM opportunities, emerging trends, partner organisations, and useful resources that can support young people, students, graduates, and early-career professionals. The Researcher will also contribute to OSF’s ongoing initiatives by supporting impact research, program development, mentorship activities, communications, and partnership research. This role is ideal for someone who is curious, organised, analytical, and passionate about education, technology, science, social impact, and youth development. The volunteer will gain hands-on experience in nonprofit strategy, research, communications, community-building, and opportunity curation, while contributing to a growing organisation committed to expanding access and opening doors for talented young people. FOUNDATION FAQs Read some of our frequently asked questions below by selecting the "read more" button. If there is a question you cannot find an answer to, send an email to info@ojascolarhsips.org and we will respond as early as possible. Annual Scholarship and Applications I'M IN 100L, CAN I APPLY FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP? Yes, 100 and 200 Level students in a Nigerian public university (both state and federal) are eligible to apply as long as they meet the academic criteria. Students applying as current undergraduates must have a GPA of 3.5 for the previous academic session. CAN I APPLY FOR SOMEONE? Yes, you can apply on behalf of your child/ward/friend /relative if; 1. They qualify 2. You have ALL the required information listed on the application page. 3. You can provide the documents required. HOW CAN I APPLY FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP? You can apply for the OSF Scholarship by using the online form in the Application page here. Any other means of application is considered invalid. I'M HAVING ISSUES WITH THE APPLICATION FORM. 1. Reload the application page and fill in your details again. A success message will be displayed once you have submitted your application. 2. Send us an email with a screenshot of the error message or problem you are facing if it persists. WHAT DOES THE SCHOLARSHIP COVER? The OSF Scholarship covers all expenses associated with your course/program for its entire duration. This includes; tuition, accommodation, personal upkeep, transportation, study materials and administrative fees. HOW IS THE SCHOLARSHIP PAID? The scholarship grant will be paid out in lump sum annually to the scholarship finalists. I'M NOT FROM ANY OF THE NIGER DELTA STATES, CAN I APPLY? Yes, students who have a minimum of 5As in their O-Levels (single result) or attained a minimum 4.0 GPA (if in 200Level and in a STEM program) but are not from the Niger Delta regions can apply. IS THERE A DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS? Yes. Each year the application deadline will be announced on the website, across all of our social media platforms and via email newsletter. It is advised that you subscribe to newsletters as sometimes the social media posts may be delayed. WHY IS THE SCHOLARSHIP FOR NIGER DELTA ONLY? The Founders of OSF are both from the Niger Delta region.The Foundation is their contribution towards the transformation and redevelopment of their place of origin using education and leadership training as tools of change. I HAVEN'T GAINED ADMISSION YET, DO I QUALIFY? Unfortunately no, you do not qualify. The OSF Scholarship is for students who have gained admission into a Nigerian public university (state or federal) for the current academic year. WILL MY INTERVIEW BE IN-PERSON OR VIRTUAL? There are a few levels of selection interviews and each interview will be held virtually. In the event that there is a variation, you will be notified ahead of time for you to make travel preparations. The Foundation tries to make it accessible for everyone and encourage applicants to reach out if there are special needs or considerations necessary for each individual. I HAVEN'T GAINED ADMISSION YET, DO I QUALIFY? Unfortunately no, you do not qualify. The OSF Scholarship is for students who have gained admission into a Nigerian public university (state or federal) for the current academic year. I HAVE BEEN SHORTLISTED FOR AN INTERVIEW, WHAT DO I NEED? If you have been shortlisted for an interview, you will be informed (via your registered email) of the documents to present. Failure to present ALL required documentation will result in a disqualification from the process. Donations and Partnerships HOW CAN I SUPPORT THE FOUNDATION? There are a few ways to support our work. i. Quality Internship Placements for our 300L and 500L scholars, which gives them the chance to gain practical and technical skills. ii. Partnerships with businesses and enterpreneurs for equipments such as laptops and printers for our students. iii. Corporate Social Responsibility & Partnerships that expand our students opportunities, scale up impact, and showcase your organization’s commitment to education and social responsibility. iv. Your generous funding or financial support can provide scholarships, learning tools, and the right environment for these gifted young people to reach their full potential. CAN I DONATE FROM OUTSIDE NIGERIA? Yes. You can donate with various payment types using our donation page - https://www.ojascholarships.org/donation-form HNS Program and Application WHAT IS THE CRITERIA TO JOIN THE HNS PROGRAM? i. Applicants should be between the ages of 18 and 25 ii. Submit an application with a statement of intention. iii. Wait for feedback. IS THERE AN INTERVIEW BEFORE I AM SELECTED? No. Unlike the scholarship program, there isn't an interview stage in the selection, however there are other selection requirements involved. HOW LONG IS THE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM FOR? The program is for a period of 11months with active participation required and intense leadership training required as well as regular action plan assessments by mentors. I HAVE NOT GAINED ADMISSION INTO UNIVERSITY, CAN I APPLY TO THE PROGRAM? Yes, ladies not yet in university can apply as long they are within the age band of 18 to 25. CAN I APPLY FOR SOMEONE? Yes, you can apply on behalf of your child/ward/friend /relative if; 1. They meet the qualifying criteria. 2. You have the information requested on the application page. 3. HOW TO APPLY Step 1: Complete this application form Step 2: Submit the application form Scholarship Application Before you begin your application, carefully read through our requirements to be sure that you meet all the criteria. ELIGIBILITY AND CRITERIA The OSF grant is a full scholarship for your entire undergraduate degree program. The grant is delivered via annual payments for the duration of the undergraduate degree. This means that beneficiaries will be paid yearly grants upon meeting the academic and personal standing requirement. The OSF grant has been designed to cover full tuition, accomodation costs and upkeep for the duration of the undergraduate program. To retain the scholarship, beneficiary must maintain a GPA of no less than 3.5 on a 5 point scale every academic year. Beneficiary must be actively engaged in the OSF community for the duration of their program and maintain contact with the OSF office. Scholarship Eligibility We apply the following criteria in selecting candidates for the OSF STEM Scholarship. Applicants who meet most or all of these requirements progress to the next stage of the selection process, where they are invited to submit a written piece that demonstrates their academic potential, critical thinking, and commitment to their chosen field. State Of Origin Applicant is from Niger Delta (primarily Delta, Edo, Ondo states or other ND states) Academic Excellence Present a CGPA of 3.5 or 4.0 on a 5point scale (to be provided on request). STEM Area of study is Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics. Each year, selected scholars who have met the criteria receive an annual grant of ₦600,000, structured to fully cover tuition, accommodation, textbooks, living expenses, and all essential academic costs. Mentorship Beyond financial support, OSF provides a robust targeted mentorship program that equips their scholars with the skills, confidence, and exposure needed to thrive in competitive STEM fields. Students participate in monthly group mentorship sessions built around career themes, technical growth, leadership, and personal development. These sessions are led by industry professionals who bring real-world insight to prepare scholars for the evolving demands of modern STEM careers. Each scholar also benefits from individualised career coaching, offering personalised guidance on academic planning, internships, professional pathways, and long-term career success. This tailored support helps students make informed decisions, stay accountable to their goals, and transition smoothly into the workforce or continued postgrad studies. 3. Community A defining strength of OSF is our vibrant scholar community, a close-knit network that feels more like family. Cohorts connect, collaborate, and support one another, sharing learning resources, opportunities, and experiences. Through this community, scholars gain lifelong friendships, peer mentorship, and a sense of belonging that reinforces their academic and personal growth. Our Scholarship Cohorts SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS 1. Applicant is from Niger Delta (primarily these three; Delta, Edo, Ondo states). 2. Applicant is not from any of the above listed Niger Delta states but has extraordinary performance in academics - presenting no less than a 4.0 CGPA on a 5point scale (school results to be provided on request). 3. Applicant's area of study is STEM ; Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics. 4. Applicant has gained admission for the current year (2025-2026) into a Nigerian public university OR is already in Year 1 or Year 2 in a Nigerian public university . Mentorship At OSF we do not aim to handover cash prize and step back. We walk with our scholars throughout every session in quarterly group mentorships led by volunteer industry professionals and 1:1 personalized mentorships. Personal Computer A quality STEM Education is heavily reliant on infrastructure and modern tools. We support the development of our scholars with a brand new personal laptop that gives them the right support with course work and research. Community We consider ourselves a family. OSF COMMUNITY Code of Conduct Welcome to the Ojah Scholarship Foundation (OSF) community. Our private member area brings together mentors, mentees, Her Next Step participants, and other trusted members of our network. This space exists to foster growth, learning, and collaboration. Because this platform holds sensitive data—including personal details, academic results, and official documents—we require every member to follow the highest standards of professionalism, respect, and responsibility. This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for all community members, and your continued access to this platform constitutes agreement to these terms. 1 Community Values We uphold the following values in all interactions: Respect: Treat all members with dignity, regardless of background, gender, age, religion, or opinion. Integrity: Act honestly, transparently, and in the best interest of the community. Confidentiality: Protect the privacy of all scholars, mentors, and partners. Safety: Foster a safe, supportive, and harassment-free environment. 2 Professional Conduct All community members are expected to: Communicate respectfully and constructively at all times. Avoid discriminatory, harassing, or abusive language or behaviour. Maintain appropriate professional boundaries between mentors, mentees, and peers. Represent OSF positively in both online and offline interactions. Report any conduct that breaches this code to the OSF administration team immediately. 3 Data Usage and Handling As this platform stores personal and academic data, strict data governance applies: Confidentiality: Do not share, copy, download, or distribute any personal information, scholar results, or documents without explicit written consent from OSF. Access Control: Use your access credentials responsibly and never share them with others. Data Integrity: Do not alter, falsify, or misuse any data uploaded by scholars, mentors, or administrators. Secure Storage: If you must temporarily store sensitive files for mentoring or administrative purposes, use secure, password-protected systems and delete them once no longer needed. Legal Compliance: Follow all relevant data protection and privacy laws in Australia, Nigeria, and any other applicable jurisdiction. 4 Mentor-specific Responsibilities For Mentors: Commit to supporting your mentee’s academic and professional development with honesty and care. Respect the boundaries of the mentoring relationship; refrain from requesting or offering inappropriate personal favours. Ensure all guidance is ethical, unbiased, and in the best interest of the mentee. Keep all discussions with mentees confidential unless explicit consent is given to share. For Mentees: Engage actively and respectfully with your mentor. Honour scheduled sessions and communicate promptly if rescheduling is required. Use feedback constructively and remain open to learning. Respect your mentor’s time, privacy, and professional boundaries. 5 Use of the Private Member Area The private member area must only be used for OSF and HNS-related activities. Commercial promotion, solicitation, or unrelated activities are not allowed. Members must not post harmful, misleading, or false information. Content shared should uphold the dignity and mission of OSF and Her Next Step 6 Safe-guarding and Well-being OSF is committed to safeguarding every member: Any form of harassment, bullying, exploitation, or abuse is strictly prohibited. Members must immediately report safeguarding concerns to OSF’s designated safeguarding officer. The wellbeing of scholars, especially female scholars and minors, is a priority, and members must always act with their best interests in mind. 7 Conflicts of Interest Members must disclose any potential conflicts of interest to OSF (e.g., financial, academic, or personal). Decisions, guidance, or influence must never be used for personal gain. 8 Breach of Conduct Violations of this Code may result in: Temporary suspension of access to the private member area. Permanent removal from the OSF community. Referral to relevant authorities in cases of legal or safeguarding breaches. 9 Conflicts of Interest Violations of this Code may result in: Temporary suspension of access to the private member area.
