We support first and second-year undergraduates with resources to excel, while advancing gender equity and empowering our students for success with targeted mentorship and career guidance. OSF SCHOLARSHIP PACKAGE 1. Robust Financial Grant The OSF STEM Scholarship is a flagship opportunity designed to lift financial barriers for brilliant students from the Niger Delta. Each year, selected scholars who have met the criteria receive an annual grant of ₦600,000, structured to fully cover tuition, accommodation, textbooks, living expenses, and all essential academic costs. Our goal is simple but transformative. To ensure that talent and potential-not financial hardship-determine a student’s future. 2. Mentorship Beyond financial support, OSF provides a robust targeted mentorship program that equips their scholars with the skills, confidence, and exposure needed to thrive in competitive STEM fields. Students participate in monthly group mentorship sessions built around career themes, technical growth, leadership, and personal development. These sessions are led by industry professionals who bring real-world insight to prepare scholars for the evolving demands of modern STEM careers. Each scholar also benefits from individualised career coaching, offering personalised guidance on academic planning, internships, professional pathways, and long-term career success. This tailored support helps students make informed decisions, stay accountable to their goals, and transition smoothly into the workforce or continued postgrad studies. 3. Community A defining strength of OSF is our vibrant scholar community, a close-knit network that feels more like family. Cohorts connect, collaborate, and support one another, sharing learning resources, opportunities, and experiences. Through this community, scholars gain lifelong friendships, peer mentorship, and a sense of belonging that reinforces their academic and personal growth. Scholarship Impact Together, these pillars-financial support, mentorship, coaching, and community-create a holistic system designed to empower the next generation of STEM leaders from the Niger Delta.
